The professional woodcarving program is designed for individuals who have a passion for woodcarving and want to gain a professional status in the art of woodcarving. This program is tailored to the individual's needs and desires.

Basically, everyone over 21 years of age regardless of their nationality, has the opportunity to enter the final exam. Before entering, a special permit is required which has to be applied for at the trade authorities. In order to aquire their approval, the proper practical and theoretical preparation has to be proved. Our school will guide you in reaching the needed level. It would be to your advantage to have a complete pre-education in a related profession like joiner or stonecutter. When the special permit is granted, the way to enter the final exam is open. This exam takes place once or twice a year in Salzburg or Vienna.

For students from abroad away the program can be completed over a period of several years with a minimum of 6 weeks a year.  The prices for each week could be less if the student signs up for more than 6 weeks in the same year. You can start any time of the year.

The school will help you find housing where you can do your own cooking or you can also stay in a private home or in the Geisler-Moroder Guesthouse located next to the woodcarving school.

It is highly recommended that you visit the school or enrol in a Geisler-Moroder woodcarving class before signing up for the professional program.
