Elbigenalp - the main locality in the valley, is situated in the midst of the Lechtaler and Allgäuer mountains. Walking along the well-cared ways through the green meadows and side-valleys you will get unforgettable impressions. Uphill the "mountaineer " will meet many refuges which are also starting point for the climb to some summits: "Große Krottenkopf", "Hochvogel", "Lechtaler Wetterspitze", "Parseierspitze" and many more...

The centre of the catholic community is St. Nicolaus church, renovated and altered a few years ago. Of course, traditional Tyrolean evenings, open-air concerts by the local band in traditional garb and other entertainments will not fail.

Nearby to the centre you can enjoy the large, heated swimming-pool with giant slide for young people and those who remained youthful in their heart.

For those who prefere alpine ski there is a ski-school and lots of lift facililties from Elbigenalp up to Warth- Hochkrumbach (at the Arlberg). In Elbigenalp there are 2 ski-lifts belonging to the ski-school, one lift for advanced skiers and one trail-lift.

4 km away from Elbigenalp, you will find a chairlift with a descents of 2 km and more, mountain station with restaurant. There are also good connections to Warth/Arlberg where you find a large ski system with a lot of lifts and other facilities.

Elbigenalp is really ideal for ski-hiking, it is possible to "explore" the whole valley on cross-country ski tracks. Up and down the valley and back to the starting point: 2 x 50 km.

Boredom is impossible here; tennis, swimming-pool with giant slide, adventure playground, discotheque, leisure evening, concerts, shooting room, guided hiking, alpine refuges ......

You will enjoy the wonderful, unspoiled site and draw a deep breath of the clean mountain air.
